What is a Gift With Purchase (GWP)?

A Gift With Purchase (GWP) is a promotional item offered by brands or retailers when customers spend a certain amount on qualifying products. These gifts can include cosmetic bags, pouches, mirrors, jewelry cases, makeup brushes, accessories, home items, and more.

Many brands use third-party manufacturers to produce these promotional items. As with many promotional products and retail packaging, manufacturing often takes place in countries such as China and other parts of Asia before the items are distributed by the brand or participating retailers.

Gift with purchases vary by country. Some are specific to Europe and/or Asia and are not available in the USA. I try to source these so we have access to them too!

Gift with purchase items are not the same quality as boutique items. They are mostly manufactured in China and often say “made in china” on the packaging and on the tags.

These gifts are commonly offered through brand websites and department stores such as Nordstrom, Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s, Dillard’s,  Ulta, and others to incentivize spending.

How do you get your items?

I do not receive these directly from beauty brands.

Instead, I source them from trusted wholesalers and resellers. I carefully select the suppliers I work with and inspect the items I receive before offering them for sale. I do my own research to make sure they are authentic. I am a Dior beauty platinum member and I’m on top of the gwp’s being offered. 

Why do you sell them?

Many of my followers asked if there was a way to purchase the promotional gift without spending hundreds of dollars on beauty products to qualify for it. That’s what inspired me to start sourcing these items.

Also, other countries get different gwp items than what we get in the USA. I wanted to find a way for us to get them too!

Gift with Purchase items are commonly bought and sold on the secondary market through platforms such as eBay, Poshmark, Mercari, and other resale marketplaces. I am not the first to do this lol. My goal is to make these promotional items available at a great price to collectors and beauty lovers who may have missed the original promotion. 

Are they authentic?

Yes, to the best of my knowledge.

Because promotional gifts typically do not include serial numbers or official authentication services, they generally cannot be authenticated by the brands or third-party authentication companies. I carefully source my inventory and would never knowingly misrepresent an item. I encourage every customer to do their own research and purchase only if they feel comfortable.
