Hey girl! This fall, I’m all about deinfluencing and being smarter with my style choices. There are some trends for 2024 that just aren’t worth the hype, and I won’t be buying into them.

From trendy jeans and shoes, it’s time to focus on timeless, versatile pieces instead. Let’s embrace what truly works for our wardrobes and wallets, and say no to the trends that just don’t make the cut this season!

Fall Fashion Trends 2024 I Won’t Be Buying

Adidas samba

I won’t be buying the adidas samba. This is a hot shoe for Fall 2024 but it’s just not my style. I prefer the adidas gazelle platform and I may consider those. However, there are other shoes that are more my style that I’d prefer. I also feel that this and the gazelle are getting SO much attention that it may die out quicker than anticipated. When a product gets into a frenzy and everyone has to have it – it tends to fade as fast as it came.

Designer Ballet Flats

I won’t be buying expensive ballet flats. I like participating in trends but when it comes to items that aren’t my personal style I opt for an amazon version. I bought these gold emblem ballet flats that look exactly like this $1300 designer pair. I also bought this rhinestone ballet flat that’s inspired by this $800 designer version.

Free People Jackets

Free People dolman jacket | Free People quilted jacket

While I love the look of Free People jackets and they’re always in style for Fall- I can’t justify the price compared to the quality. I bought this jacket last year and it already has a hole in it. If I find Free People at a consignment store and can save tons of money then I will pick it up – but I’m not paying full price. I found this dolman jacket on Amazon and this quilted jacket that look EXACTLY the same. The quality is the same too!

Trendy Jeans

Barrel jeans | Balloon jeans

This is the year of the jeans. Every type of sillhoute except for skinny jeans are in fashion. I love the straight leg and wide leg but can NOT get on board with barrel jeans or balloon jeans. I don’t think they are flattering. The great thing about trends is you don’t have to participate in all of them. Pick the ones that match your personal style and leave the rest.

I spoke about the barrel jeans in my Spring deinfluencing post and I’ve stuck by my word. These jeans were popular in Spring and will be popular in Fall but I won’t be buying them.
