The Spring Fashion Trends I WON’T Be Buying (Deinfluencing)

I talk a lot about fashion trends on my blog. Mostly giving lots of recommendations to stay on top of trends. However, just because I share what’s in and out doesn’t mean I’m going to participate in all of them. There are some that just don’t click with me and that’s ok! We can’t do all the things. So I thought this would be a fun way for me to roast some of the current trends I’m not into.
Spring Fashion Trends I Won’t Be Buying

Black ballet flats | White ballet flats
Ballet flats aren’t my jam. I find them to be extremely uncomfortable. While they are on trend for 2024 and I think the above styles are cute, I won’t be buying them. I prefer sneakers, platform heels, or sandals.
Barrel Jeans

I can’t with these jeans. It’s giving bow legged (nurses will get this lol) and I can’t unsee it. I won’t be buying these and I think they will only be trendy for 1 or 2 seasons.
Baggy Cargos

Baggy cargos aren’t the vibe I’m into. They remind me of the punk rock aesthetic from high school (which I was never into). Instead, I prefer athletic cargo joggers like these. They are more fitted and super comfy.
Low Rise Jeans

I can’t quite get on board with the low rise jeans. It’s a blast from the past and not in a good way. I much prefer a mid rise.
Yellow

The color yellow is a hot trend for Spring 2024. I don’t look good in yellow. It clashes with my pale skin and blonde hair. Yellow looks amazing on people with darker features. For me, it’s a pass!
Colorful Tights

A trend I can’t get behind. The colored tights are too much for me. I love a black tight (so chic) but the colored ones are not my vibe.

I agree with you on each of these points. I absolutely hate barrel jeans. To me, they’re not flattering on anybody, thin or otherwise. I also am not on board with baggy jeans. Again, they make larger girls look big, and they don’t even look good on small girls. I don’t like super high waists, but I concur about the low rises, just for comfort’s sake. I am still wearing skinny jeans and I will NEVER stop wearing them. To me, they are timeless and classy.

Skinny jeans timeless and classy? Hahaha quite the opposite actually. They are very 90’s and not in a good way… they make every girl look bad , even the skinny ones as they highlight way too much. Wide leg jeans or straight leg jeans are actually very stylish and very classy. Skinny jeans make everyone look like they just got off the bus from some poxy village from the year 1991.
I actually like coloured tights. Sometimes black tights just don’t make the cut.
agree with all but the low rise, I’m a low rise flare jeans gal, it fits my vibe and my body shape (inverted triangle), high rise skinny jeans are my nemesis. They grip my calves, which makes me feel claustrophobic.
