What’s Out: Corduroy In: Cargos

Out with the corduroy and in with the cargos. Cargo pants are making a comeback and so are cargo jeans. These are the best cargo jeans I’ve found that aren’t too bulky and fit perfectly. They are pricey and if you are looking for something more affordable- try these!

What’s Out: Super high rise In: Low rise

We are swapping high waisted jeans with low rise jeans. Millennials – don’t stress. They aren’t as low as they were when we were younger. However, they feel low because we are use to high rise. Baggier fit jeans are also in style for 2024. Combine a low rise jean with a looser fit and you have the perfect style for 2024.

What’s Out: Extreme distressed In: Embellished

Extremely distressed jeans are no longer in style. Light distressing at the knee’s and ankles is still in fashion. However, when jeans have holes on more than 60% of the denim- it’s no longer cool. Instead, try embellished jeans. Anything with rhinestones or sequins is very much in style. This rhinestone fringe jean is so cute and on trend!

What’s Out: Skinny In: Straight leg

I know – you’re upset. It’s a sensitive subject when we declare skinny jeans out. If you like them, continue to wear them. Who cares what I have to say or anyone for that matter.

Personally, I love straight leg jeans. They are similar to skinny jeans just less tight. I think they look way more fashionable. I wear skinny jeans if I want them tucked into boots but otherwise I’ve completely switched over to straight legs and I LOVE them!

Silver is having its moment. I have the ones on the right and they are great! The fit of the ones on the left is so cute and would be a great option. Pair this with tshirts or a knitted sweaters for a casual look or dress it up with a bodysuit or blouse.

What’s In: Barrel jeans

One is from Free People and one is from Amazon. Can you tell the difference? This is a very trendy look and may take some getting use to. The Amazon version may be better if you just want to try it out and Free People is great if you love the look and want to commit!

What’s In: Flares with slits

Flares had a big moment last year. In 2024, we are doing them but with a slit. It’s a little more playful. I like them and they are less exaggerated flares than what we saw last year.

Where to buy jeans

Shopping for jeans can be very discouraging and difficult. Women have such different body shapes and figures it can be hard to find something that fits just right. Let me share with you the brands that I love and work well for me.

Good American

Why I love them: They fit amazing. Easily the jean brand I wear and trust the most. They also have petite and plus sizes so they service a wide range of figures.

Abercrombie

Why I love them: Great style, always on trend. They also service different figures with their curve love brand.

Agolde

Why I love them: Their fit and style. They can run large so size down one size. However, if you are in between sizes I only size down if there is stretch.

Nordstrom

Why I love them: Best customer service, easy returns, lots of brands. I like all the brands they have and you can easily buy different sizes and returns the ones that don’t fit.

Amazon

Why I love them: Great for trendy styles and easy returns. You aren’t going to get the same quality at Amazon but I like shopping there for trends that I don’t want to spend a lot of money on.
