New year, time for new shoes! This is your excuse to update your wardrobe. Or just learn what’s in and what’s out. As always, don’t feel pressure to buy new things. Wear what makes you feel confident.

Platform sock boots

Stiletto sock boots are out- and platforms are in! I’m a big fan of platforms and happy they’re back in fashion. Not because I stopped wearing platforms but now it’s much easier to buy more because they are everywhere.

Knee high platforms

The scrunched up boots are looking outdated. Time to sell them on Poshmark or donate them to your favorite shelter. FYI, I have a big poshmark closet that I’m always selling items on if you’re interested!

I love the wide leg boots. Pair them with leggings to get that look. The leggings (these are my fave) will compress your legs to make them look smaller and the wide leg boot will make your legs look longer and smaller.

Platform heels

Before you get upset- a stiletto will always be classic. So what’s wrong with the image on the left? For one, it’s a round toe. Second, it’s a round toe platform. While platforms are in style right now- these just look outdated. A classic pump would be a more pointed toe without a platform.

The chunky platforms are on trend right now. The shoe on the right looks similar to the viral Versace heels but with an affordable price tag.

Ultra mini uggs

The ultra mini uggs are very in style. The taller versions are out. Personally, I love the minis. They are so comfy and I wear them daily.

White nike sneakers

White sneakers have been on trend for a couple years. Nike has always been popular but they are even more popular this year. I love their air force brand. I have quite a few pairs and they are comfortable. They do run on the larger side. I still order my normal size because with socks I feel like they are fine.

Dad sandals | Affordable option

Dad sandals are on trend. Gladiators (low and high) are not in style anymore. I linked a very similar option to the Tory Burch dad sandal for those on a budget!

Ballet sandals

Low key luxury is on trend for 2024. Less about a large logo (like the famous tory burch ballet flats) and more about keeping quiet luxury.

I haven’t worn t-strap thong sandals in years. The sandals with one piece of leather have been going strong for the past few seasons. I think it looks elevated.

Silver metallic platforms

I remember being at a wedding a couple years ago and EVERY girl was wearing the block heels. Those had everyone in a chokehold. Time to update them with a higher heel and platform.

Also, silver is having its moment! Shiny silver shoes are on trend!
