How To Set Goals And Achieve Them In 2021. New year, new you. Right? But don’t you say that every year? Every January everyone makes new goals. Getting in shape is always the top of most people’s list. So in January you buy new workout clothes, you’re hitting the gym, and then February comes and you’re back to your old ways. Why is that? I’m going to tell you why you are setting yourself up for failure and how you can change that and crush your goals in 2021!!
How To Set Goals And Achieve Them In 2021
Let’s dissect this and start with the basics: How to set goals. It should be simple, but if it is, why do we break our resolutions every year? It’s because we aren’t being consistent. We make excuses. We are fearful. Let’s break it down and l’m going to show you how to set goals that you will achieve this year.
Set Your Goals
Get out of your own head. The first step is to stop making excuses and stop telling yourself you can’t do it. Once you believe in yourself and your abilities it all becomes simple. How to believe in yourself? Realize that you are probably not the first person to accomplish said goal. If someone else already achieved that same goal you want to achieve than you know it’s possible. If they can do it, so can you.
Hold yourself accountable. This is the magic book that got my sh*t together. Seriously. It holds me accountable. What I love about it is that it’s not just an ordinary agenda. It maps things out visually and encourages you with actionable plans and a rewards system. I have never ever seen such a functional agenda that holds me accountable and tracks my growth.
Let go of fear. What is the absolute worst that can happen? If you miss the gym once or twice don’t get into the mindset “well it’s too late now.” No, keep pushing yourself. Life happens. You may not always get everything you want accomplished in a certain time frame but don’t give up. Don’t give yourself reasons to quit.
Form habits. This is the biggest takeaway. Once you do something a handful of times it becomes a habit. Last year I wasn’t drinking enough water. So I started not allowing myself to drink my morning coffee until I drank one glass of water first thing in the morning. Now every morning when I wake up I drink a glass of water, like clockwork. It’s easy to create healthy habits..you just have to start.
Achieve Your Goals
Now that we have removed your blocks that are preventing you from moving forward with your goals let’s discuss how to achieve your goals.
Some tools to help…
Get an agenda that helps you visualize where you’re going & where you want to be. This one is my holy grail.
Self help books have helped me achieve my goals in tenfold. I don’t sit down and read as much as I like but I save time by listening to books while I drive. Investing in audible subscription has helped me unlock so many great self-development tools.
Getting sh*t done feels amazing. I love carrying a mini to do list organizer in my handbag. Nothing feels better than crossing an item off my list.
Achieve your financial goals in 2021. It’s possible my friend! After you do so you can reward yourself with a handbag (FYI, find out how to save thousands on designer bags). In the mean time, get your finances straight with the best budget planner EVER!
With the right attitude, mindset, and a couple tools to help you along the way you are going to achieve your goals in 2021. Just remember: all you have to do is show up. Work on your goal little by little and it will all add up to results in the end!
