Five Budget-Friendly Luxury Destinations
What if I told you that you could visit some of the world’s most breath-taking locations, without having to break the bank? I know, a dream right? Well, I’m here to tell you that you actually can! After doing some intensive online research, I’ve compiled a list of some of the most beautiful, luxury destinations – made in particular for the upscale traveler on a budget. (Now please keep in mind that due to the COVID-19 pandemic traveling is NOT encouraged, but there’s no harm in planning for the future right?)
Budget-Friendly Luxury Destinations
Sao Paulo, Brazil
First on the list is beautiful Sao Paulo! It’s the largest city in Brazil and also happens to be the world’s seventh largest city. Sao Paulo is a bustling metropolis with an abundance of activities, ranging from museums and galleries to attending giant, city-wide festivals. There are so many designer stores, Michelin-star restaurants, and not to mention extremely upscale hotels such as the Pullman São Paulo Vila Olímpia which is ONLY $96 a night! There is also Gran Estanplaza Berrini that starts at $109/ night. If you want a taste of South America for an affordable price, Sao Paulo is the destination for you!
Gaya Island, Sabah, Malaysia
Looking for an affordable island destination, well look no further! The beautiful Gaya Island is full of white sand and is surrounded by crystal clear, blue waters located at the pristine Police Bay. Because of this, Police Bay also happens to be the perfect place to snorkel, so don’t forget to bring your gear! This iconic island resort is only $200 a night!
San Francisco, California
If you’re located in the US and long distance trips aren’t your style, why not take a trip to the Bay Area? There are a ton of beautiful places to visit like the Golden Gate Bridge or Ghirardelli’s Square and Fisherman’s Wharf. If you’re a west coast resident planning to take a trip to San Francisco, you can book through Jet Suite X for as low as $89. Hotel rates for upscale hotels, such as the InterContinental San Francisco, start at only $120/ night.
Lagos, Portugal
Take a trip to Southern Portugal and bask at it’s beautiful beaches, scenic coastlines, and perfect climate. In Lagos, there are a plethora of activities to do for the adventurous traveler such as exploring the ocean caves at the Lagos marina and visiting historic Old Lagos. A night’s stay at the extravagant Carvi Beach Hotel will run you about $110. For being located on one of the city’s most beautiful beaches, that’s not a bad price to pay for luxury at all!
Osaka, Japan
Last on the list is Osaka, Japan! Osaka is Japan’s second largest city and is known for it’s amazing food. Now, one might assume that a trip to one of Asia’s most flourishing countries might cost an arm and a leg, but it is actually quite affordable! You can stay at the Hyatt Regency Osaka for $106/night or the Hilton Osaka for only $130 a night. Enjoy the finest Japan’s food capital has to offer!
That’s all for now, which budget-friendly luxury destination would you want to visit first? Have you already visited some of these places? Let me know! Also, please keep in mind that due to COVID-19 each location will have its own regulations and restrictions, with limited services at this time. Stay safe everyone!
