Alexis Romper
Hello, dolls! Today I am showcasing my Alexis romper. I love the sleeves and print. This Alexis romper is actually a skort (meaning it’s really shorts but looks like a skirt). Rompers are one of my favorite things to wear and this one is stretchy and comfortable.
Alexis is a Miami-based fashion label. The clothes have a lot of feminine details such as ruffles and bell-sleeves. The clothing is always unique and I feel that justifies the price. It’s definitely a splurge, but I notice a big difference in comparison to designer vs streetwear clothing. The quality is superior with designer clothing and I can feel a difference in the fabric. My personal wardrobe consists of a mixture of designer and streetwear. Alexis is an American designer and her clothes run true to size.
I love to Shop Alexis because of the unique pieces and quality of the brand. You can find this brand sold at Saks, Neiman Marcus and Shopbop.
When to shop for designer clothing?
Ok, this is a multi-faceted question. When to shop for designer clothing really depends on your budget. For me, I have a few different times that I splurge on designer clothing. I always purchase a designer dress for my birthday, the holidays like Christmas parties, and vacation. I try to purchase beautiful dresses that I can wear multiple times (because they are expensive) so I try not to purchase gowns or really over the top fancy dresses. For gowns and very formal events I use Rent the Runway.
My favorite places to shop for designer dresses are Shopbop and Therealreal. Shopbop always does a big sale during the holidays and that’s the best time to stock up. I usually buy designer jeans during the sale too. Therealreal is a consignment store but they have a lot of inventory and sometimes the clothes are brand new with tags. They always have a coupon available which is “real” and gets you 20% off.
When I’m not shopping for designer clothes my favorite streetwear brands are found at Asos, Nordstrom, and Bloomingdales. Nordstrom and Bloomingdales both sell designer items but they also have affordable clothing. I never shop at stores like Forever21. It’s just not worth it, in my opinion. I prefer to spend a little extra so that my clothing lasts longer.
When do you shop for designer clothes? Would love to hear down below!
