I have received so many requests for a Gucci princetown mules review! So here we are. I absolutely love mine but it took me time to get to this point. When the Gucci mules first entered the market I wasn’t feeling them. Honestly, I thought they were ugly. Over time, Gucci kept putting out different styles, fabrics and prints. It may have been the constant reinforcement or the fact that they came out with a glitter version. Probably the latter 🙂

Style
The Gucci princetown mule is a classic mule without the back. It’s made of genuine leather. This shoe has been relevant over the past few seasons because it’s taking a classic shoe and implementing a modern twist. If you are worried about shelling out the cash thinking this shoe is trendy than know this: The classic mule has been around for a long time, Gucci has been around for a long time, and I think this is Gucci’s signature shoe. The Gucci princetown mules are what Valentino is to the rockstuds and Saint Laurent to the tributes.
Sizing
I went up half a size in my Gucci princetown mules. Also, I tried them on in my normal size and they fit well. I recommend getting your normal size or going up half a size. I usually always go up half a size for designer shoes. The Gucci mules seem to be friendly for all different types of feet (narrow & wide) and don’t hear many complaints regarding fit.
Comfort
The first couple of times I wore the Gucci mules I did get a blister on my toe. The reason why? The inside is genuine leather and it takes a couple of wears to break them in. Leather shoes are known to be some of the most comfortable shoes once properly broken in. My recommendation: wear a bandaid the first couple of times in sensitive areas to prevent skin rubbing. This will protect your skin and break in the shoes at the same time. After this is accomplished, the shoes are comfortable and as a flat shoe they are very easy to walk in!

Worth the money?
I say YASS! They are a classic style with a modern twist. They fit well and are comfortable after the initial breaking in stage. I also love how versatile they are. Below are photos from different blog posts of me wearing my Gucci mules. I wear them with different colored jeans and dresses. They are so easy to style and I have a few more on my wishlist.
Year-round wear
I think if you live in a warm climate than yes you can wear them all year. If you live somewhere where it gets cold in the winter but not ridiculously cold (ie Georgia, Alabama, The Carolinas etc) than I think you can get away with them in the winter and you could even invest in a fur pair. The furry ones are great for colder days and the classic ones for warmer days.
Pricing
The Gucci princetown mules will cost you anywhere from $790 to over $1000, depending on the style. It’s definitely a big purchase and that’s why I created this review, to keep you guys informed!
Where to buy
