How to transition your winter wardrobe into spring. I can’t believe how time flies! I feel like it was just Christmas and now we are in March. It’s getting warm here and I am sure that it’s still cold in many places. Therefore, a “spring” wardrobe will be different from a summer one in locations with seasons. I wrote a post awhile back on how to transition your summer wardrobe into fall and you seemed to enjoy it!
As a Floridian, we don’t have seasons. It’s just hot and hotter. I would love to live somewhere where there are true seasons. One can dream! However, so many people have told me how lucky I am to live in the Sunshine State. The grass is always greener, right?
There are a couple of takeaways I learned when I lived up North. Don’t worry you aren’t taking advice from someone who has only lived in a warm climate lol!
A few tips on how to transition your winter wardrobe into spring
Cardigans and light jackets will be your best friend! It is usually cold in the morning and night-time and is warm in the afternoon. I love bringing a medium to large bag with me so that I can easily throw my jacket into my bag when it’s warm. You can also wrap your cardigan around your waist. This pink coat is lightweight and is perfect for Spring. It’s reversible with puffy material on one side and the fluffy material on the other. It comes in a ton of colors and is currently on sale! It also comes in a shorter version and is available in pink.
Focus on Colors. In the Fall, I like to focus on camel and crimson. While in the spring, pink and white are beautiful colors to purchase for your wardrobe. A pink sweater will keep you warm but will also say “hey, it’s springtime!” Colors are really what help us transition from one season to the next.
Espadrilles, booties, and wedges. As much as I love my OTK boots I am excited to wear my other shoes. In the spring if it’s warm enough you can pull out your wedges. However, the bootie and espadrille are the perfect shoe for that in-between weather. It keeps your feet covered from the climate but doesn’t feel like winter. Booties and espadrilles give the Spring look but also protect your feet. I also love espadrilles and open-toed booties for my Florida and California girls. They aren’t too heavy on those warm days.
