Leopard is a neutral
I am really feeling this look. There is just something that gets me every time I see black and white together. It feels clean and chic. I love homes that are white with a touch of black. It’s probably the same reason why my bridesmaid’s dresses were black, I loved the contrast next to my white dress. However, my wedding decor was not black and white but neutrals. I have so many wedding posts I plan on sharing soon. I am over the moon with my wedding dress, and already shared the details 🙂
So let’s get to it. Leopard is definitely neutral. Essentially it’s brown and black, two neutral colors, and placed together in spots. I just recently invested in a leopard designer handbag. I also have designer leopard heels that I adore. My point, when it comes to luxury purchases I try to stick to neutrals because you get more bang for your buck. Leopard is a neutral and goes with everything!
More reasons why leopard is a neutral
I get the fear of leopard. The Jersey Shore didn’t do leopard justice. It’s all about how you style leopard. Going overboard with leopard shoes and a matching hat and coat is too much. The monochromatic look doesn’t work for leopard like it does for black. Think small doses.
Chic happens when you use leopard in accessories such as shoes, handbags, or a coat but end it there! One leopard piece is enough to make a statement. I love wearing leopard with pink, white, black, and grey, aka other neutrals! It really makes the look pop.
Let’s talk details
These leopard booties by Matisse are killer. They really make an outfit pop. I love that they are calf hair and give the shoe some texture. Aesthetically, they have a classic shape and will be able to be worn through multiple seasons.
Have you watched my trunk club unboxings on youtube? This bodysuit was in my box and I love it! There are small flecks of gold in the yarn that make it SO pretty. Obviously, I love the bell sleeves too.
