Fall Feels for the Southern Woman
This post goes out to my Southern women. If you google “holiday outfit inspiration” you receive a plethora of black tights, cashmere scarfs, wool coats, and dresses covered by adorned outerwear. Meanwhile, it’s 70 degrees in my neck of the woods. The struggle is real.
To get the “fall look” in the South it’s best to focus on colors and aesthetic rather than sweaters and scarves. Don’t get me wrong, I love sweaters. It’s just that it may only be realistic to wear them a few times a year or in the morning or evening of cooler months. Instead, focus on receiving Fall “feels” through patterns or prints and color schemes. With the correct tools it’s easy to dress for Fall and Winter without overheating.
Colors that feel like Fall are rust orange, red, neutral colors, olive green, brown and black. With this is mind, use these colors to put together an outfit that feels like Fall. Find light sweaters, sleeveless pullovers, thin long sleeve shirts, suede skirts and booties. If you mix the right colors with the fabrics mentioned you will create a flawless Fall inspired outfit that keeps you cool and looks Holiday ready.
I am wearing a romper that is no longer available but I linked a similar option here and here. I paired the romper with Christian Louboutin booties but I linked a budget friendly version here. My Christmas-red Chloe “drew” handbag gave the outfit an extra pop! I found a dupe for my handbag here. This is the perfect Holiday Festive Outfit for the Southern Woman!
I hope that you have a wonderful rest of you day! Read more articles here.
